A Two Night Extravaganza with Bayside at The Showbox in Seattle

Reigning from Queens, NY, the four-piece rock band Bayside pulled together a unique tour playing across North America for two nights at each stop–it's not often that fans get to join a local tour date for two exciting nights in a row. The band's ultimate goal was to play as many songs as they can off their entire discography to celebrate 25 years of being a band, so each night had a special dedicated set. And to further celebrate, it only made sense for them to bring along some of their favorite artists to open. For the duration of June 6-28, Smoking Popes joined them on the road. Show-goers showed up strong for night 2 in Seattle. The crowd was amped and ready for a packed night of music, and the energy in the venue was pulsing in the best way. Fans who were there for night 1 came back with double the enthusiasm and excitement for a whole new setlist. From listening to the fans talking amongst themselves, it seemed as though night 2 held the “better” of the 2 setlist. It contained more deep cuts, and songs that had never been played before. This was the setlist that had highly requested songs from well-versed concert attendees. Night 2 heard songs from older albums Killing Time, Cult, Vacancy, and Interrobang, as well as their latest LP There Are Worse Things Than Being Alive. The fan favorite track that brought up the most energy was "Sick, Sick, Sick," and the encore song "Bury Me" (from Interrobang) rounded out the night. During song transitions, lead singer Anthony Raneri talked about how much the tour meant to him and the rest of the band. Getting to play two nights in a row, and playing to new and old fans alike, creates an extra special experience. Bayside has always been the band that plays for authenticity–so it's no wonder their following has been deemed a "cult." Bayside fans live and breathe to see the band succeed in their musical endeavors. Keep up with Bayside and the remaining dates of 'The Errors Tour' here.
